If I were watching their shitshow live, I would assume they were being sarcastic just like Ricky Gervais on the Golden Globes when he said, “We were going to do an In Memoriam this year, but when I saw the list of people that had died, it wasn't diverse enough.” Because only a fucked-in-the-head idiot would say something out of the blue like, “The total number of followers on all your social accounts aren't enough to make you eligible for this giveaway.”
This is not really about “The Twitter Mob” being cruel or not giving second chances; this is similar to when those who are in power abuse said power.
